Move from FairEntry or other show software

Import your class list and your entries from a CSV or Excel file.

If your classes or entries are in FairEntry, ShowPro, Horse Show for Windows, HSS or a spreadsheet, you don't have to type them again. Save them as CSV or Excel (.xlsx), with a row of column names at the top.

Your class list

  1. Open the show's Classes and choose Import classes from a spreadsheet.
  2. Choose the file and Check the file. Event Reins matches the columns by their names: class number, class name, division, fee and day. Change any match that's wrong.
  3. Choose Import. Classes already in the show with the same number are left as they are.

Your entries

  1. Add the classes first. Every class in the file has to be in the show, by number or by name, or nothing is imported and the page lists the ones to add.
  2. On the show's Console, open A walk-in at the desk and choose Import entries from a spreadsheet, then the file, and Check the file.
  3. Each line is one class entered, with the rider (or first and last name), the horse and the class. Email, phone, birth date, back number and family are used when the file has them. Lines with the same family, rider and horse share one back number.
  4. If the fees were already taken, in FairEntry for example, leave Bill these entries here unticked: the entries carry no fee and no office fee. Classes added later at the show are billed as usual.
  5. Choose Import. The page shows what was created and any line that wasn't imported, with the reason. Importing the same file again adds nothing twice.

From FairEntry

Make a custom report with a line per entry: include Entry: Entry Number, the exhibitor's first and last name, the animal's name and the class, plus the exhibitor's email and birth date if you like. Download it as Excel and import it as entries.
